U23 World Championships
18–24 October 2027·Brașov, Romania
Brașov closes the 2027 world-championship sequence with the under-23 meet in October.
The U23 world championships are scheduled for Brașov, Romania, from 18 to 24 October 2027. By then the senior worlds in Las Vegas will already have named a set of world champions and, in the Olympic weights, a set of qualified teams.
The under-23 meet will show who was a year away, and who was not as close as a senior loss suggested. It is the right assignment for a features desk: fewer foregone finals, more wrestlers still becoming the athlete their coaches have been describing.
